Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Director of Ecommerce, Europe who will own the end-to-end digital business, leading strategy, execution, and optimization across all DTC eCommerce channels (UK, Germany, France, and expansion markets). Reporting directly to the GM of Europe, you will drive profitable growth, improve customer experience, and advance site operations, while aligning with our sustainable, made-to-order manufacturing model. In addition, you will be a key leader on our Global Digital team. You will ensure two-way knowledge transfer—applying global learnings to the European market, sharing local insights to uplift other regions, and actively shaping the global digital roadmap.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute the digital strategy for Ruggable UK / EU storefronts, focusing on growth, profitability, and customer LTV.
  • Oversee site analytics and KPI tracking, developing dashboards to monitor traffic, conversion, AOV, CAC, ROAS, retention, and contribution margin.
  • Define and execute the European commercial calendar, balancing global brand moments with critical local retail peaks (e.g., Boxing Day, Summer Sales).
  • Support international expansion and multi-channel strategy as Ruggable explores new markets and potential marketplaces while maintaining DTC leadership.
  • Own site merchandising, site content, operations, and E2E user experience, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and operational capabilities.
  • Manage site content strategy, working cross-functionally with Creative, Brand, and Product teams to deliver engaging product storytelling and launches.
  • Drive site localization strategy, ensuring language, currency, and payment methods are optimized to build trust and conversion in specific local markets.
  • Drive site testing and personalization strategies to improve conversion rates and drive revenue per visitor.
  • Act as the primary bridge between Europe and US HQ Product/Tech teams, advocating for regional roadmap requirements and technical resources that drive conversion and create a more localized consumer experience.

Operational Alignment & Team Leadership:

  • Partner with Marketing to align paid media, email/SMS, and affiliate strategies with site objectives and customer journey optimization.
  • Align with Europe Operations and Planning to manage site inventory visibility and lead-time communication (including cross-border complexities), supporting the made-to-order promise and customer transparency.
  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing eCommerce team, fostering a culture of accountability, customer obsession, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • 10+ years in eCommerce leadership, ideally within digitally native consumer brands.
  • 2+ years of specific experience managing a pan-European strategy or multi-country storefronts.
  • Proven track record of growing a DTC business while balancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Strong command of site analytics, A/B testing frameworks, and performance metrics.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus (or similar platforms), GA4, and digital product management.
  • Collaborative leader who can partner across Growth Marketing, Creative, Product Development, and Operations teams.
  • Customer-first mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong working knowledge of European data privacy regulations (GDPR, ePrivacy Directive) and their practical impact on digital marketing and site technology.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with a test-and-learn culture.

Preferred:

  • Fluency in German or French.
  • Background in home, lifestyle, or fashion brands.
  • Experience working for a US-based company with international storefronts.
