Rugbytots South Bucks Lead Coach & Growth Coordinator

Rugbytots South Bucks is looking for an energetic, reliable and ambitious coach to help deliver and grow Rugbytots across the South Bucks franchise area.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with young children, enjoys building relationships with families, schools, nurseries and venues, and would be motivated by the chance to develop into a wider leadership role over time.

The role starts as an initial 6-month fixed-term part-time position, with a minimum of 18 hours per week at £17.00 per hour. Additional hours may be available depending on business growth, nursery and school sessions, weekend classes, birthday parties, events and marketing activity.

For the right person, this role could develop into a longer-term South Bucks Area Lead / Area Manager pathway with a new contract, clearer weekly working pattern and increased responsibilities after the initial 6-month period.

This is more than a weekend coaching role. We are looking for someone who wants to become a key part of the Rugbytots South Bucks team and help shape the future growth of the area.

About Rugbytots

Rugbytots is a fun, structured rugby play programme for young children. Our classes help children develop confidence, coordination, teamwork, listening skills, social skills and a love of movement through imaginative, age-appropriate activities.

Our classes are delivered to children aged approximately 2 to 7 years old, with sessions designed to be fun, energetic, safe and engaging for both children and families.

At Rugbytots, a great coach is someone who can bring energy to every activity, learn children’s names, celebrate every success, support families and help children leave class smiling.

The role

The role will include a mixture of coaching delivery, local growth activity, marketing, venue support and future leadership development.

Main responsibilities may include:

Delivering Rugbytots weekend classes across the Rugbytots South Bucks franchise area

Delivering midweek taster sessions at nurseries, schools and community venues

Helping grow regular nursery, school and venue delivery

Supporting local marketing activity, including flyers, posters, banners and local promotion

Representing Rugbytots at school fairs, nursery events and local community events

Supporting the development of Rugbytots birthday parties in the area

Building positive relationships with families, nurseries, schools, venues and community partners

Helping keep kit organised, safe and ready for use

Supporting class consistency, venue standards and coach communication

Taking on more responsibility as the role develops, where suitable

The role will begin with a strong focus on delivery, reliability and local growth. Over time, for the right person, it may develop into more leadership across venues, coaches, marketing and area operations.

Hours and working pattern

Minimum contracted hours: 18 hours per week

Additional hours: May be available depending on business need and candidate availability

Working days: Usually between Thursday and Monday

Weekend mornings: Required as part of the role, unless otherwise agreed

The role is likely to include:

Weekend morning Rugbytots classes (46 weekends annually)

Midweek nursery and school tasters

Local marketing and venue growth activity

Event support (Rugbytots stall and activities for children)

Birthday party delivery as this area grows

Planning, preparation and operational support linked to the area

Exact days, times and locations may vary depending on class timetables, venue needs, nursery/school demand, events, parties and business growth.

Pay, holiday and mileage

Pay: £17.00 per hour

Minimum weekly pay before deductions: £306.00 based on 18 contracted hours

Additional authorised hours: Paid at £17.00 per hour unless agreed otherwise in writing

Holiday: 100.8 hours paid annual leave per full holiday year, pro rata during the initial 6-month contract

Mileage: Approved business mileage claimable where required for Rugbytots duties

Normal commuting from home to the first place of work and from the final place of work back home is not reimbursed. Approved business mileage may be claimed when travelling between venues, nurseries, schools, events, marketing locations or other Rugbytots duties during the working day.
