Rugby School is seeking an experienced and confident Senior School Nurse to provide strategic leadership and operational management of the School Medical Centre within our busy UK boarding school.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the nursing and administrative team.
- Oversee clinical governance, staffing, training, and budget management.
- Drive continuous service improvement and safeguard the wellbeing strategy.
- Collaborate with senior pastoral colleagues, School GPs, counsellors, boarding staff, and external providers.
- Ensure outstanding standards of healthcare, pupil welfare, and regulatory compliance across the School.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with a minimum of five years post‑registration experience.
- Demonstrable leadership and management expertise.
- Experience of school nursing, medical centre management, or independent education desirable.
- Confidence in decision‑making, people and resource management, operating within safeguarding and child protection frameworks.
