The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 ÂŁ per hour.
We are looking for a Bank Matron to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing temporary cover when Matrons are absent to ensure the welfare and well-being of students and the smooth running of the domestic arrangements in Houses; this includes liaising with a Cleaning Supervisor and being prepared to be the âresponsible adultâ presence in the House. The successful candidate may also be requested to escort students to medical appointments or to A&E.
Working Hours
This is a casual contract, and hours are likely to be available up to 7 days a week on days/times agreed. A particular need for cover from 7:30am to 6pm Monday-Friday and on Saturdays, with occasional need for evening or Sunday cover. Given the uncertain nature of absences no guarantee of the amount of work available in any given month can be given. Ideally, the candidate will need to live within easy reach of the School so they can provide cover at short notice, if necessary.
Responsibilities
- Provide temporary cover for absent Matrons to maintain welfare of students.
- Assist with domestic arrangements in Houses and liaise with the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Act as the âresponsible adultâ presence in the House.
- Escort students to medical appointments or to A&E when required.
Requirements
- Excellent relationship building with young people, supportive and caring attitude.
- Good organisational skills and IT literacy.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and a flexible approach to duties.
- First aid qualification desirable; training can be provided.
- Full driving licence essential.
About Rugby School
Rugby School is an independent boarding school of approximately 800 students and 100 full-time teaching staff. Entry for most boys and girls is at 13, chiefly from preparatory schools via Common Entrance or Scholarship Examination.
