We are looking to appoint a minibus driver to transport day students to Old Buckenham School from the local area for 2 hours in the morning, and 2 hours in the evening, Monday to Friday term-time only.

Responsibilities

  • Transport day students to and from Old Buckenham School as a minibus driver.
  • Maintain a reliable schedule: 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening, Monday to Friday during term time.
  • Build excellent relationships with young people while ensuring safety and safeguarding.
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of the local roads to enable alternative routes if needed.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Full, clean UK D1 driving licence.
  • At least 2 years’ D1 driving experience.
  • MiDAS certificate preferred, but training can be provided.
  • Ability to build excellent relationships with young people.
  • Knowledge of the local area’s roads to enable alternative routes.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
  • Awareness that it is an offence to apply for this role if barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
