About the role

We’re looking for a dedicated Revenues Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of council services, ensuring our residents are billed correctly and that we collect the revenue needed to fund essential local services. You’ll use your communication skills to help residents navigate complex issues and your keen eye for detail to keep all accounts accurate.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate billing of residents and collection of revenue needed for local services.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with residents to resolve billing inquiries.
  • Follow written procedures accurately and adapt to new tasks as required.

About You

  • Strong numerical literacy with excellent IT skills.
  • Effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Council Tax and NDR legislation; basic knowledge of Housing Benefit and related benefits is desirable.
