The Role
This is a full-time, hands-on position combining warehouse operations, sample management, and proactive customer communication. You\'ll be working closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure customers have the best possible experience from enquiry to delivery.
Samples
Prepare and package rug samples for daily Royal Mail dispatch.
Follow up with customers by phone and email to confirm receipt, answer questions, and help convert interest into orders.
Maintain accurate digital records of customer interactions in Excel and online systems.
Keep the samples area tidy, fully stocked, and efficiently organised.
Customer Outreach & Communication
Make regular outbound calls to customers who\'ve ordered samples or expressed interest, offering support and answering questions about sizing, materials, and delivery.
Record follow-ups and key details using Excel, CRM tools, and email platforms.
Write clear, professional emails to assist with quotes, orders, and sample requests.
Work closely with the wider team to ensure every enquiry is followed up promptly and every lead is maximised.
Warehouse & Dispatch
Receive deliveries, check goods, and prepare rugs for dispatch.
Wrap and package rugs securely and book shipments through the DHL web portal.
Ensure the warehouse remains tidy, safe, and efficient at all times.
About You
Organised and detail-driven β you take pride in clean, efficient systems and accurate work.
Strong computer skills β confident with Word, Excel, email, and web-based systems (CRM or ecommerce experience a bonus).
Excellent phone communicator β comfortable speaking to customers, building rapport, and following up confidently.
Clear written communicator β able to write concise, professional emails.
Proactive and dependable β you see what\'s needed and take the initiative to get it done.
Team player β helpful, positive, and reliable under pressure.
Bonus: any experience in e-commerce, digital systems, or website work (not essential).
Physical requirement: Able to lift and move rugs or rolls safely by hand.
