The predicted salary is between 14 - 20 £ per hour.
Rufio is looking for an experienced, reliable dog walker to join our growing team.
You'll begin on an hourly basis while we build your regular client roster, with the opportunity to transition into a full‑time role as demand grows.
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs, takes pride in providing exceptional care, and is confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs safely in both solo and small group walks.
- Build strong relationships with dogs and their owners through reliable, professional care.
- Confidently handle dogs with a range of needs, including puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, large breeds and strong pullers.
- Provide updates, photos and feedback after walks where required.
- Follow Rufio's safety and welfare standards at all times.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience in dog walking or another dog care role (daycare, boarding, training, veterinary care, etc.).
- Confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments, including reactive and nervous dogs.
- Strong understanding of dog behaviour and body language.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
Desirable
- Canine first aid qualification.
- A full UK driving licence is not required initially but would be an advantage as the role grows.
