This is a rare opportunity to build a new service line from the ground up for a leading built environment consultancy, shaping their proposition, leading strategic engagements, and positioning them as a trusted advisor to clients navigating regulatory, investment, and transformation challenges within the Water Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Water Advisory proposition, service lines, and go-to-market strategy, developing delivery models that integrate with project and programme management teams.
  • Lead strategic delivery and shape and deliver high-value advisory engagements, including strategic planning, transformation programmes, investment and business case development, and innovation strategy.
  • Build and grow advisory services in a consultancy or regulated infrastructure environment with deep understanding of the UK water sector, including policy, regulation, investment cycles (e.g., PR24/PR29), and innovation funding (e.g., Ofwat Innovation Fund).
  • Win, shape, and deliver strategic consultancy engagements and influence senior stakeholders, including board-level clients, regulators, and delivery partners.
  • Autonomously build a new capability with backing of a collaborative leadership team and influence the sector at the highest level.
  • Leave a legacy by building a team, a service, and a reputation that sets the standard for advisory excellence in the water sector.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Proven experience building and growing advisory services in a consultancy or regulated infrastructure environment with a deep understanding of the UK water sector, policy, regulation, and funding mechanisms.
  • Track record of winning, shaping, and delivering strategic consultancy engagements and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, including board-level clients, regulators, and delivery partners.
