About Drafty AI
Drafty AI turns 3D CAD models into production-ready 2D manufacturing drawings.
We are SOLIDWORKS-native and process everything in-tool, so a customer's geometry never leaves their machine.
Our engine pairs a deterministic rules layer with machine learning to produce release-ready drawings, flat patterns, bills of materials and exports, and to flag only the drawings that genuinely need a person.
We are early, backed by Rudra X, and already running pilots with UK manufacturers. This is a chance to build the core of the product, not to maintain someone else's.
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who combines strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with an interest in emerging AI technologies.
The ideal candidate will design and develop mechanical systems and products while leveraging AI-powered engineering tools to improve design quality, productivity, simulation, and documentation.
