As a Restaurant Host at Rudding Park, you will be responsible for executing a warm and efficient restaurant welcome. You will support the restaurant managers with all guest bookings and guest correspondence prior to the booking. Use relevant resources to assist the Restaurant Manager with the organisation of table allocation and billing at the end of the shift.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a passionate and caring arrival for all guests in the Restaurant
- Ensure the Restaurant/Host team provides a quality service, maintaining the Rudding Park philosophy on guest care
- Set up and implement policies and procedures necessary for the smooth running of the Restaurant Host team, and ensure these are followed at all times
- Ensure effective communication of all relevant information to the department and the hotel as a whole
- Ensure the Host/Restaurant team liaises with Reservations, Reception and Guest Relations teams daily regarding any relevant guest information or issues
- Support Restaurant Managers with receiving positive or negative guest feedback
- Resolve guest complaints where possible and report to the Restaurant Managers
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, recording and reporting any accidents or near misses immediately
- Effectively report and distribute daily Restaurant figures, shift reports and data
- Deliver adequate team briefs and preparation meetings to assist with smooth running of the operation
- Ensure all relevant Restaurant paperwork is completed in full and stored appropriately
- Remain fully conversant with current and upcoming Restaurant and room offers, and communicate these effectively to guests
- Ensure correct cashing-up procedures are followed at all times
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure each service is planned
Working Relationships/Communication
- Interact and communicate effectively with all team members of the Restaurant and all members of the hotel team
- Inspire and develop a ‘can do’ attitude with multi-disciplined staff
- Ensure any positive and/or negative guest feedback is communicated to the manager as quickly as possible
