The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Hotel and House Receptions providing the highest level of service to guests at all times.

- Have knowledge and experience of working with computer systems and Microsoft Office programmes, including Word and Excel
- A knowledge of Harrogate and the surrounding areas is beneficial, as you will deal with queries regarding local attractions and help guests with travel arrangements as necessary.
- Offer a warm welcome at all times in a friendly and professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone manner.
- Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment.
- Good administrative skills and IT literacy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide the highest level of service to guests at all times
- Checking in/out of hotel guests
- Liaising with Housekeeping regarding bedroom allocations and guests' requirements
- Deal with guest complaints seeking support if necessary in order to resolve the complaint to the guest's complete satisfaction
- Taking reservations for hotel restaurants
- Show our guests to their bedrooms and explain points of interest and bedroom facilities
- Work closely with day host to make sure that guest luggage is stored, delivered to the room accordingly
- Telephone duties including answering switchboard, taking messages, paging colleagues, emailing telephone messages and use of Outlook and responding for any special requests for the guest in house
- Providing a business support service for clients and conference delegates e.g. word processing, photocopying
- To assist Reservations with any overflow phone calls ensuring the best service for our guests
- Meeting guests dealing with questions and queries as required, call reservations/meeting for any potential business within the resort
- Completing the function board for the day's events
- Recording items of lost property and liaising with the Housekeeping Department to return property to guest
- Monitoring the Fire Board and responding to any abnormalities in accordance with Company policy and procedure
- Complete any guest correspondence, Clocktower questionnaires or forward checking reports
- Perform checks for arrival both for hotel guests and function guests
- When working in House Reception perform any required physical checks to ensure that the areas are to Rudding Park's expected standards of excellence
- Assist with any required correspondence for the Operations Manager or Managing Director
- Once trained to carry out Reception Duty Manager shifts when required on a rota basis
- Be responsible for knowing what is going on the business day ensuring that you are aware of what guests are coming in, what events are taking place at Rudding Park
