The fast-growing London office of Rud Pedersen, with over 20 public affairs and communications consultants located in Westminster, seeks an experienced policy research and analysis professional to coordinate the firm’s daily political intelligence, issue briefing and analytical services for existing clients and new business development. This is an opportunity to drive the development of a distinct service. Prior experience in a comparable role would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and presenting information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Supporting policy submissions, legislative consultations, Select Committee inquiries, etc.
  • Commissioning opinion research, quantitative and qualitative, with specialist providers as needed.
  • Developing research proposals for clients, securing funding, and making recommendations based on insights.
  • Managing desk research projects from design to execution.
  • Identifying issues, their causes, and solutions.
  • Analyzing information objectively and making reasoned judgments.
  • Developing and implementing research initiatives in support of the firm’s goals.
  • Adapting to changing methodologies, industry trends, and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of British politics, Parliamentary procedure, the news media, and business affairs.
  • Strongly focused on accuracy and attentive to detail in all written communications.
  • Confident in advisory settings, presenting and explaining research findings to clients.
  • Leadership skills: Guiding, allocating resources, and supporting the development of junior research executives.
  • Culturally empathetic in working internationally, frequently as part of multi-market teams.
