RWE Generation UK is offering an exciting industrial placement opportunity within our Outage Planning and Delivery Team. We are looking for a motivated team member with excellent interpersonal skills to join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 13 months, starting on 28th June 2027.
The Outage Support Engineer placement will allow you to work within a dynamic international team, supporting the Project Manager with the delivery of a programme of high-value Outage Projects at one of our generating assets. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle including planning, preparation, delivery, and close-out.
About the role:
- Undertake project preparation planning.
- Coordinate specified activities.
- Support site establishment.
- Coordinate resources mobilising to site.
- Establish Health, Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing documentation.
- Support Project Risk, Change & Continuous Improvement Management processes.
- Contribute in Project meetings.
During the project, there is an opportunity to work alongside the operations, maintenance, and engineering teams, contractors, and service providers. This may require visiting regional offices and working some extended hours to meet the demands of the project.
Job requirements and experience:
Ideally, you should be studying a BEng or MEng Mechanical Engineering degree at an undergraduate level. If your degree is in a similar Engineering, Maths, or Science discipline and you have an interest in the energy industry, we’d love to hear from you!
