Here at Ruby Energy we continue to grow and have a new position available for a Senior Business Analyst. Please note for this role you would be based at our Head Office in Fleetwood, Lancashire.

Role Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead the analysis and design of complex change initiatives, shaping solutions that deliver clear business value. You’ll act as the key link between stakeholders and delivery teams, while also developing Business Analysis capability across the organisation.

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Lead requirements across complex projects, from discovery through to delivery.
  • Facilitate workshops, challenge assumptions, and shape clear solution outcomes.
  • Define epics, features, and user stories aligned to business value.
  • Conduct gap analysis, root cause analysis, and cost-benefit assessments.
  • Develop 'As Is' and 'To Be' process maps and transition roadmaps.
  • Analyse data and present insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure high-quality documentation, traceability, and delivery alignment.
  • Support testing and change readiness to embed solutions effectively.
  • Mentor Business Analysts and drive best practice across the function.

Experience Required:

  • Senior BA experience in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Strong Agile delivery experience (plus SDLC / waterfall exposure)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including senior leadership
  • Strong workshop facilitation and requirements gathering skills
  • Create high-quality, value-driven user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Experience in process mapping, data analysis (incl. SQL), and modelling
  • Experience mentoring or leading other BAs
  • CRM / system transformation experience
  • Utilities or energy sector experience (desirable)
