Here at Ruby Energy we continue to grow into 2025 and have a new position available for Senior Project Manager / Business Change Manager, based at our offices in Fleetwood. In this role, you will project manage the business change activities associated with major new business systems, including CRM, sales, billing, collections, and customer portals. You will be the key link between the introduction of these new systems, effective workflows and the business adapting to new ways of working.

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Coordinate and where appropriate lead on the end-to-end management of business change across the organisation, ensuring alignment with Ruby Energy’s strategic objectives and transformation goals.
  • Project manage change initiatives within the wider business operations function, including systems integration across the group of businesses, and collaborate with key teams to drive operational readiness and business adoption.
  • Work closely with our partners, who supply key line of business systems and other key stakeholders to ensure that the business transformation programme is cohesive, well-coordinated, and that all necessary processes and systems are aligned for a smooth transition.
  • Develop and manage change management plans, ensuring that change initiatives are effectively communicated, and that all stakeholders are engaged throughout the process.
  • Ensure business readiness for change by supporting the implementation of process improvements, system upgrades, test and train cycles and new technologies that align with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor the progress of change initiatives, managing risks, dependencies, and project milestones to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to the wider operations team to help them manage change, identify potential issues, and ensure the smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Lead stakeholder communication to ensure clear, transparent, and effective updates are shared with internal and external parties.
  • Manage post-implementation reviews to assess the success of change initiatives, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement efforts.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management and business change, ideally within the energy, utilities or sales sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex change projects, ideally with experience in system integrations, operational improvements, and business readiness activities.
  • Strong knowledge of business transformation, systems integration, and how these impact operational functions and service delivery.
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) or equivalent experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies and best practices, with the ability to tailor approaches to meet the specific needs of the organisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams across business functions, vendors, and senior leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while focusing on practical execution and delivery.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training and communication plans to ensure business readiness and successful adoption of change initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and project management tools such as MS Project or Jira.
  • Ability to work with different departments and personalities.
