The People & Culture Manager supports the delivery of Rubric Law’s people strategy and ensures the firm attracts, supports, and retains talent. The role manages core HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, performance processes, employee relations, and engagement initiatives, while helping maintain a compliant and positive workplace culture.

  • People Operations & HR Support
    • Maintain HR policies, contracts, and processes to ensure compliance with UK employment law.
    • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and staff.
    • Handle employee relations issues professionally and escalate where appropriate.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Manage job adverts, screening, interviews, and offers.
    • Coordinate onboarding activities, induction plans, and pre-employment checks.
    • Maintain talent pipelines for recurring roles.
  • Performance & Development Administration
    • Support the appraisal process and help managers set objectives.
    • Coordinate internal and external training activities.
    • Maintain competency frameworks and development plans.
  • Employee Experience & Culture
    • Plan and deliver engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
    • Support communication and activities that reinforce firm values.
    • Monitor employee feedback and propose improvements.
  • Payroll & HR Systems
    • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR compliance.
    • Provide payroll data to the Head of Operations and resolve basic queries.
    • Produce HR reports and metrics (absence, performance, etc).
