The Role Permanent Full Time Deritend part of the Rubix Group of Companies was founded in 1898 and serves more than 3,500 customers in the UK and boasts a blue-chip client base that includes some of the largest manufacturers and best-known brands in the world. We specialise in optimising asset performance, including motors, gear boxes, pumps, machining, condition monitoring and fabrication services. We are looking for a motivated individual to join us and further strengthen our fabrication team within our Deritend Middlesbrough facility. Key Responsibilities Fabricate from a drawing or sketch and fully weld carbon steel / stainless steel structures including access platforms, ladders, handrailing & general light to medium duty fabrications. On site installation of carbon steel and stainless-steel structures. Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues. Occasionally you may be asked to work away for a short period of time. Key Skills / Qualifications Main Tasks and Deliverables: * Disassembly and accurate re-assembly of industrial rotating equipment. * Performing planned and predictive maintenance. * Assessing need for spare parts * Undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary *You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage and suitable qualifications such as CCNSG passport is preferable) * You will be happy working with a team as well as working on your own initiative * Have strong mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn/damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options. * Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, Company policy and Company procedures. * Maintain the required standards of housekeeping. * Liaise with Coordinator to establish requirements * Conforming to health and safety procedures and policies. ONC/HNC or equivalent, preferred but not essential * Knowledge of Industrial Gearboxes and Pumps, multi skilled in basic Electrical Practices * UK driving license
