The Role
Permanent Full Time Deritend part of the Rubix Group of Companies was founded in 1898 and serves more than 3,500 customers in the UK and boasts a blue-chip client base that includes some of the largest manufacturers and best-known brands in the world. We specialise in optimising asset performance, including motors, gear boxes, pumps, machining, condition monitoring and fabrication services. We are looking for a motivated individual to join us and further strengthen our fabrication team within our Deritend Middlesbrough facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate from a drawing or sketch and fully weld carbon steel / stainless steel structures including access platforms, ladders, handrailing & general light to medium duty fabrications.
- On site installation of carbon steel and stainless-steel structures.
- Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
- Promote a culture of working safely as routine.
- Occasionally you may be asked to work away for a short period of time.
Key Skills / Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum 5+ years MIG welding experience - weld test will be carried out during interview.
- Time served within fabrication minimum City & Guilds.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience working with power tools such as grinders and drills.
- Be able to produce high quality work, with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to develop and learn new techniques.
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and health and safety in the workplace.
- CCSNG Site Safety Passport.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- City & Guilds medium risk confined spaces (water).
- EUSR water hygiene card.
- Experience driving fork lift trucks.
- Experience using overhead pendant crane.
- Experience using pipe bending equipment.
- TIG Welding experience.
- MMA Welding Experience – Sometimes used during site work installations.
