The Compressor Service Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial air, gas, or refrigeration compressors. This role typically involves working on rotary screw, reciprocating, centrifugal, and other types of compressors used in the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Commissioning: Set up and install compressors and related systems. Ensure proper alignment, electrical connections, and safety compliance.
- Maintenance & Servicing: Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and belt adjustments. Inspect components for wear and tear to prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Repair or replace defective parts such as valves, seals, and bearings.
- Technical Support & Customer Service: Provide technical advice to customers regarding compressor operation and maintenance. Train users on best practices for efficient and safe operation.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of service visits, repairs, and parts used. Provide detailed reports on system performance and recommended actions.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments before performing maintenance tasks.
