We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Category team, responsible for the Southern Half of the Country. This is a varied and rewarding role, working with the extensive RUBIX sales network to drive growth and focus on the Bearings, Power Transmission and Lubrication product category, delivering both product and application knowledge to add value and maximise sales in RUBIX customers.

The successful candidate will develop and own your sales and project pipeline, working closely with Core Assortment suppliers and internal product specialists to help customers reduce costs, improve efficiency, and keep their operations running smoothly. RUBIX supports customers across the UK manufacturing sector, ensuring they have the parts, spares, PPE, tools, and tooling they need while securing the best possible supplier deals to deliver value. Key Responsibilities:
  • Business growth at customers for Bearings, Power Transmission and Lubrication products and services.
  • Represent and develop sales opportunities for RUBIX Exclusive brands (FENNER, Mecaline, PTN, AKN).
  • Support the RUBIX network with product and application knowledge.
  • Elevate the profile of the category within the RUBIX network and the marketplace.
  • Drive and collaborate with RUBIX Core Assortment suppliers to grow sales and support the RUBIX network.
  • Deliver product and market training.
  • Represent RUBIX at customer and trade events.
  • Report on results, activities and pipeline monthly.
Key Skills:
  • Strong product knowledge in Bearings, Power Transmission and Lubrication.
  • Experience of the Industrial MRO market.
  • Engineering qualification (preferable).
  • Ability to confidently present the RUBIX offer and converse with customers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Commercial negotiation and analysis.
  • Competent use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerBi Dashboards, PowerPoint etc.
