The Role

To identify and qualify sales opportunities and build sustainable relationships with existing and new customers through the provision of technical expertise and knowledge. Acting as a trusted advisor, work collaboratively with the national Rubix organisation to demonstrate the value proposition and address technical concerns and issues. Sell complex and technical solutions to new customers in a clear and compelling manner, applying applications-based technical knowledge and experience to solve customers' problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assessing and analysing target markets within the designated sales geographies and industry sectors.
  • Collating market data, trends and intelligence, competitor activity and customer feedback.
  • Responsible for developing and executing the annual Sales Budgets; identifying target customers, constructing Sales action plans and targets that align with business goals.
  • Responsible for managing existing customers and developing new business within the designated geographies and industry sectors, and for providing management with accurate and reliable feedback; Quarterly and monthly Sales Pipelines and Forecasts.
  • Play an active role in the marketing and promotion of Matrix.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the company's CRM database with respect to Customer details, potential and opportunities, expanding Matrix's reach into target industry sectors.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal written and presentation skills, comfortable working at all levels. Able to collate and analyse data prepare and present business reports, proposals, presentations and justifications. Able to influence and provide confidence when dealing with internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Self-Management: Able to work autonomously, managing your own time, appointments, and client interactions while consistently meeting sales targets. Excellent organisational skills, able to solve problems in a methodical and logical manner and manage conflicting demands.
  • Relationship Building: Work in a positive and professional manner. Build and foster an environment of collaborative teamwork, enhancing the company culture and demonstrating the values. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring Matrix's reputation for quality service is upheld.
  • Industry Expertise: Use in-depth technical knowledge, experience and expertise in MRO activities to offer expert guidance to clients, helping them find the best solutions.
  • Reporting: Responsible and accountable for developing and executing annual budgets, providing regular forecast updates – managing and maintaining Sales Pipeline reports aligned to project status. Regularly track and report on sales activity, market trends, and forecasted growth to management.
