We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce high-precision parts and components. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of parts, troubleshooting machinery issues, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, programme and operate CNC and manual machines (core duties would be Milling machine and Mecal Machining Centre) according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools.
- Inspect parts for quality control, ensuring that all parts meet the required tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any machine or tooling issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production team members to optimize processes and improve workflow.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a machinist with proficiency in CNC and manual machine operation and an engineering background/qualification.
- Strong understanding of machine shop mathematics, blueprints, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Experience with various materials such as metals, plastics, and composites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
