Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Design and Development: Create detailed designs and technical specifications for products, systems, or components using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software (e.g., SolidWorks, Draftsight and Revit).Conduct design reviews with stakeholders, ensuring that designs meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and manufacturability.
Follow CAD and drawing departmental guidelinesDocumentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all design work, including drawings, models, specifications, and test results in compliance with the QMS.Prepare and present design reports and updates for management and stakeholders, providing clear documentation of design iterations and final specifications.
Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, environmental guidelines and industry best practices.
Collaboration and communication: Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and manufacturing, to ensure successful product realisation.
Communicate design concepts clearly through drawings, reports, presentations, and meetings.
Support sales and marketing teams with technical insights for customer-facing materials.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost reduction without compromising quality or performance. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and materials to incorporate innovations into designs.
Key Skills: HNC/HND engineering qualification β minimum.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience in industrial Valves, Actuation.
Experience in fluid dynamics and mechanical engineering are essential.
Experience working with pressure vessels would be advantageous.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Draftsight, Revit, CATIA, etc.).Technical: Strong knowledge of engineering principles, mechanics.
Detail-oriented: a strict focus on engineering quality and efficiency.
Problem-solving : Strong analytical and creative problem solving.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.
Teamwork: Ability to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
