The Branch Manager, internally known as Insite Manager, is a pivotal on-site leader responsible for the seamless delivery of the customer contract at a major aerospace organisation based in Batley. As the dedicated Rubix representative on site, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensure exceptional service delivery, and act as the trusted point of contact for the customer. Reporting to the Regional Insite Manager, you will oversee all aspects of on-site performance, including inventory management, service excellence, continuous improvement and the achievement of contractual KPIs. This role blends operational leadership, customer relationship management, commercial awareness and problem-solving to drive value and strengthen our partnership with the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Oversee the daily execution of the contract, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and contractual customer requirements.
    • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for the customer.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the site.
    • Develop trust and credibility through responsive service and problem resolution.
    • Attend engineering meetings and support operational discussions.
  • Operational Management
    • Manage the on-site supply solution and ensure smooth day-to-day operation.
    • Monitor and replenish stock cabinets and vending solutions across the site.
    • Process customer orders and coordinate product deliveries.
    • Ensure critical stock availability and minimise operational downtime.
  • Commercial & Financial Management
    • Responsible for delivering the sales and margin budget whilst identifying opportunities to increase product penetration and service utilisation.
    • Ability to accurately forecast weekly against budget.
    • Collaborate with the Product Business Units to offer tailored solutions that deliver the best value to the customer.
    • Source products and services while maintaining margin awareness.
    • Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing where appropriate.
    • Responsible for the account profitability and commercial performance.
  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
    • Respond to customer issues and coordinate effective solutions.
    • Work with suppliers, internal teams and engineering specialists to resolve challenges.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
    • Support initiatives such as maintenance solutions, repair services, engineering surveys and efficiency projects.
  • Performance & Compliance
    • Deliver against contractual KPIs and service level expectations.
    • Maintain accurate reporting and operational records.
    • Promote a strong health and safety culture.
    • Identify and report potential safety concerns and operational risks.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Essential Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or MRO environment.
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working independently and taking ownership of operational activities.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of pricing, margins and profitability.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exposure to P&L responsibility, budgeting or commercial decision-making.
  • Confident communicator capable of influencing decisions and building relationships.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Desirable Previous experience in operations management, engineering stores, manufacturing support, branch management or account management.
  • Knowledge of Kerridge K8 or similar ERP systems MRO (Maintenance, Repairs & Overhaul) Product Knowledge.
  • Experience supporting maintenance, repair and operational activities within manufacturing environments.
