The Role
Permanent, Full Time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform conventional machining operations such as turning, milling and drilling using various lathes, CNC machines and conventional machines to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.
- Ensure workflow procedures are followed.
- Record all data necessary to produce expected service and/or design results including sizes and illustrations.
- Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.
- Perform metal spraying techniques as needed.
- Understand materials and applications as required.
- Set up and perform tool‑post grinding operations (e.g., precision surface facing), broaching procedures, and Babbitt bearing work.
- Perform various welding operations, including setup and use of MIG, TIG, torch and stick welders.
- Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions.
- Use various hand‑held and stationary power and non‑power tools, including but not limited to band saw, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
- Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
- Promote a culture of working safely as routine.
