Knowlton & Newman, part of the Rubix Group, are a well-established 24/7 electrical and mechanical engineering services Company. They have a wide customer base and typically repair, overhaul and install pumps, motors and gearboxes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, install, test, and commission electromechanical systems and equipment and wiring in accordance with regulations and specifications.
- Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot / fault find.
- Assemble and wire electrical control and power distribution panels in commercial and industrial settings.
- Carry out site works on client sites.
- Filling reports and test sheets.
- Advising remedial repairs where required.
- Carry out work to the satisfaction of the customer and the management team.
- Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
- Follow all Company health & safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment.
- Carry out any other reasonable request from Management.
Essential Key Skills / Qualifications
- Ideally, fully apprentice-trained, with a number of years electrical experience, preferably gained in a heavy industrial environment.
- Preferably trained to BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
- Excellent all-round electrical skills.
- A strong understanding of the importance of and commitment towards upholding health and safety compliance.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all employees at all levels within the company.
- Must have the ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult or conflicting situations.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to build, install and maintain electrical systems.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Full driving license.
