The Role

Permanent Full Time

Initially established in 1997, we specialise in Precision Engineering and have built a vast number of relationships with customers who require aluminium profile and have become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of Extruded Aluminium profile, accessories and associated products. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure workflow procedures are followed.
  • Operate various machine tools to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.
  • Record all data necessary to produce and expected service and/or design results including sizes and illustrations.
  • Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, and conventional milling and lathe work, using various engine lathes (e.g., horizontal and vertical mills and horizontal boring lathes).
  • Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.
  • Perform various metalizing (metal spraying) techniques as needed.
  • Understand materials and applications as required.
  • Set up and perform tool‑post grinding operations (e.g., precision surface facing), broaching procedures, and Babbitt bearing work.
  • Perform various welding operations, including setup and use of MIG, TIG, torch and stick welders.
  • Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions.
  • Use various hand‑held and stationary power and non‑power tools, including but not limited to band saw, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
  • Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • Promote a culture of working safely as routine.
