Permanent Full Time
Deritend, part of the Rubix Group of Companies, was founded in 1898 and serves more than 3,500 customers in the UK. We specialise in optimising asset performance, including motors, gear boxes, pumps, machining, condition monitoring and fabrication services. We are looking for a motivated individual to join us and further strengthen our fabrication team within our Deritend Middlesbrough facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate from a drawing or sketch and fully weld carbon steel / stainless steel structures including access platforms, ladders, handrail and general light to medium duty fabrications.
- On site installation of carbon steel and stainless-steel structures.
- Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
- Promote a culture of working safely as routine.
- Occasionally you may be asked to work away for a short period of time.
Essential Key Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years MIG welding experience - weld test will be carried out during interview.
- Time served within fabrication minimum City & Guilds.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience working with power tools such as grinders and drills.
- Be able to produce high quality work, with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to develop and learn new techniques.
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and health and safety in the workplace.
- CCSNG Site Safety Passport.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- City & Guilds medium risk confined spaces (water).
- EUSR water hygiene card.
- Experience driving fork lift trucks.
- Experience using overhead pendant crane.
- Experience using pipe bending equipment.
- TIG Welding experience.
- MMA Welding Experience – Sometimes used during site work installations.
