Responsibilities
- Servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of materials handling equipment in line with workshop instructions
- Identifying and reporting additional faults requiring attention
- Monitoring job boards and job cards to ensure work is prioritised correctly
- Tracking time and costs allocated to jobs to ensure economical repair outcomes
- Keeping personal and company tools clean, organised, and maintained
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised workshop area in line with Health and Safety requirements
Experience and qualifications
- A strong engineering background with hands‑on mechanical expertise
- Experience with materials handling equipment, forklift trucks, or transferable skills from plant machinery, agricultural engineering, or similar mechanical environments
- A good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices
- The ability to work independently and follow structured repair processes
- Strong organisation and attention to detail in technical environments
