Are you an experienced Wood Machinist looking for a role with variety, stability and the chance to work on high-quality, bespoke products? Do you enjoy precision work and operating a range of woodworking machinery in a well-organised workshop? This opportunity offers consistent hours, optional overtime and a long-standing employer with an excellent reputation.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, open between 7am and 5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up, operating and carrying out basic maintenance on woodworking machinery including saws, planers, spindle moulders and routers
  • Safely handling timber and board materials, including operating forklifts and lifting equipment
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to produce accurate, high-quality components
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping and profiling wood to tight tolerances
  • Inspecting completed parts and making adjustments to achieve required finishes
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Proficiency operating woodworking machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail when working to precise tolerances
  • Good mathematical capability and confidence using computers
  • Problem-solving skills to quickly correct issues and minimise waste
  • Physical stamina for a role involving standing and manual handling
