Responsibilities:

  • Supporting mechanical design activities with a strong focus on DFM and DFA throughout NPI
  • Leading mechanical workstreams to ensure products are ready for build, scale, and release
  • Collaborating with electrical and software engineers on electromechanical test jigs and tooling
  • Defining and documenting mechanical build procedures and assembly instructions
  • Providing hands-on support during NPI builds, including root cause analysis and ECN activity

Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Strong 3D CAD capability, ideally using SolidWorks or similar
  • A solid understanding of DFM, DFA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection
  • Experience transitioning products from prototype into low to medium volume production
  • The ability to produce and interpret 2D manufacturing drawings to BS8888 standards
