Mechanical Design Engineer | Wareham | Up to £45,000

Responsibilities
- Completing the full mechanical design of components to meet defined functional and performance requirements
- Producing drawings and documentation to a high standard using Solid Edge 3D CAD
- Carrying out structural analysis and providing design justification through calculation
- Supporting equipment testing and trials to verify designs meet functional requirements
- Presenting designs to internal stakeholders and maintaining accurate engineering records
Experience Required
- HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Practical experience using Solid Edge 3D CAD or similar 3D CAD software
- Competence in mechanism and assembly design, material selection, and stress analysis
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and manage tasks to cost and time
- Experience in marine or defence engineering is desirable but not essential
- Eligibility to obtain SC (Security Clearance)
