Shift Manager | Poole | 6-Month FTC | £52,214 PA ~ Rotating Shifts Are you an experienced production leader with a background in food or FMCG manufacturing? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where safety, quality and team development are key? We’re exclusively recruiting for a leading manufacturing business based in Poole that’s looking for a hands-on Shift Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You’ll play a critical role in overseeing operations, supporting your team and ensuring the smooth delivery of the production plan. For the right person, this FTC has the potential to lead to a permanent opportunity. PLEASE NOTE: This role is a 6-month FTC and requires the successful candidate to work a rotating shift pattern which includes a night shift. Rotating shift pattern: 6am–2pm 2pm–10pm 10pm–6am As Shift Manager, you’ll benefit from: 25 days holiday per year (+BHs) Staff shop access to products at cost price Retail Discounts Single Bupa cover and health cash plan Free on-site parking As Shift Manager, your responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting a team of Team Leaders and Production Operatives across shifts Delivering against safety, quality, efficiency and production targets Coaching and developing team members to enhance performance and engagement Driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives across your shift Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and food safety standards Communicating shift priorities effectively with other departments and leadership Acting as the key point of contact for shift operations and deputising for senior management where required As Shift Manager, your experience will include: Experience in a Shift Manager or similar role within food or FMCG manufacturing Proven ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams A strong commitment to health & safety, food safety and compliance Familiarity with HACCP, BRC, or equivalent food safety standards Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills Ideally IOSH/NEBOSH certification and experience leading CI projects If you\’re ready to take the lead in a business that values accountability, collaboration and high standards, apply today or speak with Jo at Rubicon for more details
