Day 1: You've got a desk, a walkthrough of the MRP system, and an introduction to the team you'll be working alongside.

Day 30: You're confidently processing customer schedules, generating works orders, and liaising directly with customers on order status.

Day 90: You're trusted to keep the whole despatch process running smoothly, from schedule to shipment, with your accuracy relied on across the team.

As a Despatch Planner, you'll benefit from:

As a Despatch Planner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Receive, process, and maintain customer and supplier schedules and orders
  • Generate works orders and issue them to the relevant team leader or stores area
  • Prepare and pack customer shipments in line with customer-specific packaging procedures
  • Liaise with customers via email, telephone, and online portals regarding order status
  • Load and unload customer packaging and product, including via forklift truck
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and customer logistics query portals

As a Despatch Planner, your experience will include:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or logistics environment preferred
  • Confident using MRP or similar planning systems
  • Forklift licence (FLT) desirable but not essential, as training can be provided
  • Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Comfortable liaising with customers and internal teams alike
