Our client is a well-established manufacturing business based in the Yeovil area, supplying premium natural material products to a wide range of industries. With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, they are now looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead their operations team.

As Production Manager, you’ll benefit from 20 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays (with a holiday bonus scheme), free on-site parking, and opportunities for career development within a supportive, family-run business.

As Production Manager, you will:

  • Oversee daily operations in the sawmill and timber yard, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards
  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled operatives, providing clear direction and support
  • Take a hands-on approach to production tasks, setting the standard for quality and efficiency
  • Coordinate with internal teams including sales, logistics, and office staff
  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with safety procedures
  • Assist with machinery maintenance and ensure operational readiness

As Production Manager, you will have:

  • Proven experience in timber production, carpentry, or joinery
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and manage a team effectively
  • Practical, hands-on approach with good organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Forklift or machinery experience beneficial, though not essential
