Responsibilities

  • Inspecting products at planned stages to prevent non‑conforming product, including first off, FAIR, final view, pre‑treatment and goods in and out
  • Carrying out dimensional and visual inspection throughout all required stages of manufacture
  • Raising NCRs in line with procedure, including labelling and containing non‑conforming parts
  • Communicating quality issues clearly and promptly to quality engineers and production
  • Completing FAIRs in accordance with applicable procedures
  • Compiling and approving certificates of conformity

Qualifications

  • Proven experience within mechanical inspection or quality inspection roles
  • Strong understanding of dimensional and visual inspection techniques
  • Experience working with FAIR documentation and inspection records
  • Confidence raising and managing NCRs
  • Ability to follow customer quality requirements and inspection standards such as DSQR or similar
  • Comfortable using customer quality software such as Net‑Inspect or equivalent
