Responsibilities

  • Servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of materials handling equipment in line with workshop instructions
  • Identifying and reporting additional faults requiring attention
  • Monitoring job boards and job cards to ensure work is prioritised correctly
  • Tracking time and costs allocated to jobs to ensure economical repair outcomes
  • Keeping personal and company tools clean, organised, and maintained
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised workshop area in line with Health and Safety requirements

Experience and qualifications

  • A strong engineering background with hands‑on mechanical expertise
  • Experience with materials handling equipment, forklift trucks, or transferable skills from plant machinery, agricultural engineering, or similar mechanical environments
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices
  • The ability to work independently and follow structured repair processes
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail in technical environments
