As a Commercial Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting bids, negotiating contracts, and managing commercial risks. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to deliver solutions that balance risk and reward.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing advice and support on commercial matters across UK and international markets
- Contributing to bids and proposals, ensuring risk/reward balance
- Supporting contract negotiations with customers and key partners
- Managing contracts to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction
- Maintaining contractual records and documenting key decisions
- Building long-term relationships with stakeholders and customers
Your experience will include:
- Experience in a customer-facing environment with knowledge of negotiation processes
- Understanding of contractual obligations, liabilities, and commercial risks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse complex commercial issues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable:
- Experience in commercial management within the defence sector
- Ability to draft and review commercial agreements (NDAs, MoUs, license agreements)
- Degree in a relevant subject and/or membership of a professional body (IACCM/WC&C)
Due to the nature of the work, you must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
