We’re recruiting for a global manufacturer based in Cambridge, supplying precision-engineered products to highly regulated industries. As Buyer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring material availability, maintaining supplier relationships and supporting on-time project delivery. The opportunity to work on high-profile certification projects Exposure to both UK and international programs A cycle to work scheme Employee assistance programme scheme Health insurance and life assurance A technically progressive, collaborative engineering environment As Buyer, your responsibilities will include: Leading day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiating and order placement Monitoring supplier performance, managing stock levels and tracking order progress Working with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability for manufacturing and projects Reducing total cost of ownership through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation Supporting planning, risk mitigation and supplier performance reviews As Buyer, your experience will include: 3+ years in procurement or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or engineering setting Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and Excel Experience working with procurement KPIs and supply chain data Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards If you’re looking for a commercially visible role where your procurement expertise will make a real difference, apply today with an up-to-date CV or contact Amber at Rubicon for more information
