Responsibilities
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC turning and milling machines to produce precision components
- Working across twin spindle, twin turret Nakamura lathes, single spindle Fanuc lathes, and 3, 4, and 5 axis Fanuc mills
- Programming 5 axis Matsuura machines using Mastercam CAM software
- Setting up jobs from scratch, pre-setting tooling, and completing first-off inspections
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in line with customer and industry requirements
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and job packs
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision engineering or subcontract environment
- Setting and operating experience on CNC lathes, with Fanuc controls (twin spindle preferred)
- Setting and operating experience on CNC mills, 3, 4, or 5 axis Fanuc programming ability (turning or milling)
- Mastercam programming experience advantageous, particularly for 5 axis work on Matsuura machines
- Experience working to tight tolerances in aerospace, defence, motorsport, or medical manufacturing
