Responsibilities
- Carrying out MIG welding on mild steel components to a high standard
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Preparing materials for welding, including cleaning and cutting
- Setting up and operating welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety requirements
Experience
- At least 12 months of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally on nights
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience measuring, cutting, and assembling metal components
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detail
