Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a strong background in metrology? Our client, an established manufacturer of precision geared electric motors supplying healthcare, mobility, transport and industrial markets worldwide, is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their Quality team. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of inspection and metrology activities within a business that prides itself on precision, collaboration and continuous improvement.

As a Quality Inspector, you will benefit from:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting components against drawings, specifications and customer requirements
  • Carrying out goods inward material inspection
  • Creating and running CMM/VMM inspection programmes (PCDMIS/CAMIO)
  • Raising and managing non-conformance reports (NCRs) and supporting containment actions
  • Reviewing inspection reports (ISIR/FAIR/PPAP) and releasing conforming product
  • Supporting root cause investigations for customer complaints and defects
  • Maintaining inspection equipment and calibration records

Your experience will include:

  • A solid Quality Inspector/Technician background with strong metrology skills
  • Experience creating and operating CMM programmes (PCDMIS/CAMIO)
  • Confidence reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
  • Proficiency using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers and height gauges
  • Good IT skills, particularly MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
