Are you an experienced customs and trade compliance specialist looking for a role where your expertise genuinely shapes how goods move across borders? This is a great opportunity to take ownership of import/export compliance for a well-established local business, working closely with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Customer Service, and external logistics partners.
As an Import / Export Specialist, you'll benefit from:

Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing import and export activities in line with UK and international trade regulations
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining customs documentation, including commercial invoices and export declarations
- Coordinating customs clearance with brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies
- Providing oversight of daily shipping activities to ensure priority shipments are dispatched on time
- Monitoring shipment progress and resolving transportation or documentation issues
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for import and export activities
Your experience will include:
- A strong understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures
- Previous experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers
- Confidence using ERP and shipping systems
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant import/export, customs, or logistics qualifications desirable, though not essential
