Are you a strategic and solutions-focused Buyer with a background in manufacturing or engineering environments? Do you thrive in fast-paced supply chain roles where attention to detail, supplier performance and cost control are critical?

We\’re recruiting for a global manufacturer based in Cambridge, supplying precision-engineered products to highly regulated industries. As Buyer , you\’ll play a key role in ensuring material availability, maintaining supplier relationships and supporting on-time project delivery.

As Buyer, your responsibilities will include:

* Leading day-to-day purchasing activities , including sourcing, negotiating and order placement

* Monitoring supplier performance , managing stock levels and tracking order progress

* Working with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability for manufacturing and projects

* Reducing total cost of ownership through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation

* Supporting planning, risk mitigation and supplier performance reviews

As Buyer, your experience will include:

* 3+ years in procurement or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or engineering setting

* Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

* Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and Excel

* Experience working with procurement KPIs and supply chain data

* Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards
