Overview
Are you an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operative who enjoys a mix of forklift duties and hands-on labouring work? Do you like staying active, working both outdoors and indoors, and taking on a physically engaging role with plenty of variety? This full-time opportunity is based in the Blandford area, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with overtime paid at enhanced rates. An immediate start is available following a successful interview.
Responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift safely to move, load and unload materials
- Carrying out physical labouring tasks, including heavy lifting and manual handling
- Sorting and separating various materials
- Assisting with dismantling, breaking down materials and preparing items for processing
- Maintaining housekeeping standards across the warehouse, yard and shop floor
- Supporting team members with daily operational requirements
Qualifications
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence with recent, proven experience
- Previous work within warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environments
- Confidence with manual handling and regular heavy lifting
- Experience working safely around heavy machinery, power tools or chemicals
- A practical, reliable and proactive approach to work
- The ability to work outdoors as well as indoors in all weather conditions
