In this welder role, you will join a team of experienced welders working on a comprehensive range of fabricated products for diverse industry sectors.
Responsibilities
As a welder, your duties will include:
- Performing MIG and TIG welding on various materials, such as stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate assemblies accurately.
- Preparing materials for welding, including cleaning and cutting, to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Setting up and operating welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Background
As a welder, you must have:
- A minimum of 12 months of experience in MIG welding is often expected.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, coupled with basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in measuring, cutting, and assembling metal components.
