You’ll take a design from a sketched idea through to a fully detailed, production ready drawing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Produce layout, assembly, and detailed drawings from initial concepts through to full completion
- Hold design reviews and progress designs against key requirements and specifications
- Apply Design for Manufacture and Value Engineering techniques to ensure a smooth transition into production
- Select appropriate third party components and produce costing sheets for proposed designs
- Formulate technical specifications and ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Your experience will include:
- HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline
- Mechanical design experience, including pneumatic equipment and circuit design
- Strong working knowledge of 2D CAD, AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
- Ability to produce accurate detailed drawings and dimensioning to ISO standards
- Commissioning and site experience, with strong problem solving skills
