With over 70 years of experience across sectors like defence, nuclear, rail, and marine, this leading UK construction engineering company is looking for a reliable and proactive team member to support operations at their Poole Works site.

As Loader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Loading and unloading trailers for deliveries and internal site movements
  • Operating trained plant and machinery, including Meba Saw, Peddinghaus Drill, Voortman, Geka, Phiran, Shot Blast, side loader, and forklift
  • Driving the shunter and pickup truck for on-site and local transport
  • Supporting the fitting shop and paint shop with material handling
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Reporting delays, missing items, or safety concerns to Works Management

As Loader, your experience will include:

  • Background in material handling within structural steelwork
  • Valid Counterbalance and Side Loader licences
  • Experience with overhead cranes (ITSSAR accredited)
  • Confident slinging and securing of heavy loads
  • Familiarity with CNC and manual machinery as listed above
  • Strong communication skills and basic PC literacy
  • Possession of a valid HGV licence (desirable)
  • Previous banksman experience in a structural steel or construction environment (desirable)
