Responsibilities
- Leading the Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 and customer‑specific requirements
- Driving quality strategy, KPIs and governance across the Blandford site (with travel to Poole when required)
- Overseeing APQP and ensuring accurate, on‑time PPAP submissions
- Implementing in‑process quality controls, including audits, error‑proofing and process capability studies
- Managing customer and supplier quality performance, including complaints, audits and corrective actions
- Reducing scrap, rework and cost of poor quality through data‑driven problem solving
Experience
- Leadership experience within manufacturing quality management
- Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC and MSA
- Hands‑on experience with metrology, GD&T, jigs, fixtures and capability analysis
- Exposure to processes such as forming, fabricating, welding, machining or assembly
- Confident customer‑facing communication and supplier development skills
- A structured, analytical approach to problem solving using tools such as 8D and 5‑Why
